11 TH EUROPEAN INDIVIDUAL MEN AND WOMEN'S CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

The 11 th European Individual Men's and Women's Chess Championship is taking place from March 5-19 2010 at Rijeka,Croatia. The tournament are qualifier for the next WORLD CUP , part of the World Championship cycle. 22 players will qualify. GM Ian Nepomniatchi  from Russia is on top with 8 points after 10 rounds.Eight players are half point behind.GM Jobava Baadur of Georgia share second place with GM's Zahar Efimenko of Ukraine, Rauf Mamedov of Azerbaijan, Ivan Sokolov of Bosnia, Russian GM' s Artyom Timofeev; Denis Khismatulli; Igo Lysyg and Vladimir Akopian of Armenia.
